Prominent disputes practitioner joins from Providence Law Asia to lead Collyer Law's new litigation and arbitration capability.

Collyer Law LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Hari Veluri as Director and head of its newly established Disputes practice. Hari joins from Providence Law Asia LLC, a specialist disputes boutique where he served as a Director, bringing with him a credible record across complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, fraud and asset recovery, and corporate investigations.

This appointment marks a significant milestone in Collyer Law's evolution. Founded in 2015 and known for its 'idea-to-exit' support for technology companies and venture investors, the firm has built a strong reputation in practice areas that include M&A, Banking & Finance, Labour & Employment, Regulatory & Compliance and Technology Transactions for its client sectors.  The addition of a dedicated disputes capability reflects the firm's commitment to providing its clients with full-service legal support across the business lifecycle — from structuring and growth through to contentious matters when they arise.

“Hari is an excellent disputes lawyer with a track record that speaks for itself. His experience across the Singapore Courts, international arbitration tribunals, and cross-border investigations is precisely what our clients need. We have long recognised that our clients require trusted counsel not only in building and scaling their businesses, but also in protecting what they have built. Hari's arrival allows us to offer that in-house.”

— Azmul Haque, Managing Director

Hari brings extensive courtroom and arbitration experience to the role, having acted as lead counsel at all levels of the Singapore Courts, in international arbitrations under major institutional rules, and before specialised tribunals. His practice encompasses shareholder disputes, fiduciary breach claims, commercial fraud, worldwide freezing orders, and regulatory investigations involving corporations and financial institutions. He is a key member of the India-Singapore cross-border disputes community and is recognised for his oral advocacy, having received multiple awards at the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition in The Hague during his studies at the National University of Singapore, from which he graduated with an LLB (Hons).

Prior to Providence Law Asia, Hari trained and practised at several leading Singapore firms including TSMP Law Corporation, and Morgan Lewis Stamford. He is conversant in Hindi, Telugu and French, in addition to his native fluency in English.

“Collyer Law has built something genuinely distinctive — a firm with deep relationships in the innovation and investment ecosystem, a clear commercial sensibility, and a culture that prizes collaboration and technical rigour. I am excited to contribute a disputes capability that can protect what the firm’s clients have worked hard to create. The best time to think about disputes is before they arise. When they do, having the right team makes all the difference.”

— Hari Veluri, Director (Disputes)

Hari's disputes practice at Collyer Law will serve clients across the firm's core sectors — technology, venture capital, financial services and HNWIs — providing advice on risk mitigation, pre-dispute strategy, and active representation in contentious proceedings.
