We are regularly instructed in disputes involving commercial fraud, as well as disputes between founders and their private equity and venture capital investors.

The team has particular depth in technology disputes, including those involving cryptocurrency and blockchain. We have acted in some of the most significant digital-asset disputes to reach the Singapore courts and tribunals, from defending a US$40 million claim concerning the sale of altcoins to a Canadian billionaire, to securing one of the first reported worldwide freezing orders over cryptocurrency assets.

We have substantial experience before the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC), having recently acted in one of the first trials before that court arising from a shareholders’ agreement that designated the SICC as the chosen forum.

Our work extends to commercial fraud, asset tracing and recovery, breach of fiduciary and directors’ duties, and urgent injunctive relief, including freezing and search orders. We act for clients across Asia and beyond, and our matters frequently span multiple jurisdictions.
