Collyer Law strengthens its International Arbitration Practice & India Desk with a new hire

28 March 2020  Collyer Law is delighted to announce the arrival of a new lawyer who will increase our bench strength for cross-border disputes and international arbitration, in the region and particularly in the “India-Singapore corridor”.

 

Garv Malhotra has joined Collyer Law as a Managing Associate in our international Dispute Resolution team, effective March 2020. Garv is India-qualified and was formerly an international lawyer at Drew & Napier LLC in Singapore where he worked under a leading Senior Counsel. Prior to his stint at Drew & Napier, Garv was a counsel before the Supreme Court of India and acted as a mediator in various commercial cases.

 

Garv has represented private and state entities in matters involving Indian, Singaporean and English laws under SIAC, ICC and UNCITRAL rules as well as ad hoc arbitration. He has experience in dealing with matters relating to aerospace & aviation sector, corporate affairs, construction, energy, goods & service contracts, intellectual property and technology.

 

 

Garv holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and law from Gujarat National Law University graduating with the GLAS Scholarship for all round excellence and two master’s degrees in international disputes from University of Geneva, Switzerland; and National University of Singapore (both on full scholarships). He has also read law at the Paris Academy of Arbitration, France and The Hague Academy of International Law, The Netherlands.
